
You don't just have to be a diver to swim with seals. Snorkellers are welcome on the trip and no experience is necessary. I recommend it as a family day out. All you need is a mask, hood, 5mm wetsuit (recommended), and fins. Gloves not required from about June - September. The water temperature when I did it was 15'C. If you're not used to it, even with a wetsuit you'll feel it a lot at first!

This above picture was taken when I followed the seal into a kelp tunnel. I do remember stroking it to see what it felt like. As you'd probably expect, it was really smooth.
