My trip to see the Grey Seals in the Eastern Isles was absolutely superb! It's the sort of experience you remember for life. I experienced some close encounters and some of them are the size of a fully grown man!
It isn't just the Eastern Isles where you can see them - you can also go to the Western Rocks or Northern Isles, but the Eastern Isles are the most popular because it is less dangerous.

Photographing the Seals wasn't very easy. They swim fast and most of the time do not come very close. It's difficult to understand what they find the least threatening. It seemed that when your back is turned they are more likely to come close and they also don't like divers bubbles that much!

An obscure shot I must agree. I never intended to get this pose, but it's funny how pictures come out!
